Staffing Now, a division of SNI Companies, has an immediate receptionist opening working for our client in Houston, TX. The position is working for a legal services company that has multiple locations nationwide. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for callers and visitors, providing professional and welcoming experience. In addition, this role will direct inquiries to the appropriate departments and support HR by assisting with new hire onboarding and administrative tasks.

The compensation for this position starts at $16.00 an hour. Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities, including work experience.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, answer direct calls, take messages, and maintain the reception area.
- Maintain visitor logs, issue badges, manage suite and parking access, and coordinate with management and IT for new hires
- Receive, log, and distribute mail/packages; maintain certified mail records.
- Book conference rooms, interviews, and new hire start dates on management/HR calendars; set calendar reminders.
- Prepare and distribute paperwork, take ID photos, send welcome emails, and update employee files.
- Maintain electronic records, audit parking spreadsheets, and manage temp job requisitions.
- Email evaluations, collect manager feedback, and assist with temp-to-perm conversion processes.
- Submit service requests (HVAC, janitorial, etc.), and order parking access cards.
- Review, approve, and forward invoices; ensure proper documentation storage.
- Provide general admin assistance as needed, including creating schedules for relief receptionists.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual English Spanish
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years of administration experience working in a professional office environment.
- 1+ years of HR administrative experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
