Great opportunity to join our expanding staff and be part of our commitment to excellence in patient care!!! Princeton Radiology Associates is currently seeking a full-time Patient Services and Medical Records Rep to work in our outpatient imaging facility in Newtown, PA. Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, 1 Saturday rotation every other month 8am-12pm.
The Patient Services Representative is responsible greeting patients and families, collecting demographic and insurance information, walk-in scheduling, and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families, and providers. Additionally, will be responsible for processing all medical records requests through prompt and courteous service in a fast-paced, high volume, customer focused environment. The position is also responsible for ensuring accuracy and safeguarding patient's right to privacy by adhering to company policy and HIPAA regulations.

Additionally, will be responsible for processing all medical records requests through prompt and courteous service in a fast-paced, high volume, customer focused environment. The position is also responsible for ensuring accuracy and safeguarding patient's right to privacy by adhering to company policy and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patient and ascertain their needs in a professional and courteous manner.
- Accurately registers patient demographic information.
- Promptly obtain and verify patient insurance.
- Advise patient of their financial obligations and collects appropriate amount.
- Interpret provider orders ensuring an appropriate ICD-10 code has been assigned and accurately reflects the clinical history as indicated by the provider.
- Prepare and process all registration documents.
- Record incoming films and CDs.
- Maintain appearance of waiting area.
- Promptly answer phone calls within the established customer service guidelines.
- Schedule walk-in patients.
- Retrieve and review messages for medical record requests.
- Create films, disks and/or print reports when requests are received from scheduling department.
- Upload, track and document outside patient films/disks for comparison.
- Call mammogram patients with results twice daily.
- Communicate with billing department regarding legal requests and send legal records as needed.
- Prepare and mail reports/scan medical record releases.
- Update computer system with new scripts and scan prescription if patients scheduled an appointment.
- Update and check status of pending addendum requests.
- Print and mail referring physician reports.
- Scan, email and mail out dexa reports.
- Print and mail out mammogram reminders and patient letters.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two years of medical office work experience preferred.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:30pm and rotating Saturday approximately once every five weeks.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology and medical terminology required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on a timely basis and work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to speak effectively and present a pleasant, profession demeanor/image during telephone conversations or in person.
- Adherence to follow established procedures and make sound decisions based on those procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to policy.
