Property Accountant

Our client is in search of a property management accountant.  This position requires some traveling between Medley & Deerfield locations. 

Duties:

• Handle full-cycle accounting for real estate portfolio including income producing & development properties with limited supervision
• Providing accurate and timely financial information as required internally by management and externally by investors and other parties
• Complete all functions relating to assigned properties accurately, efficiently, and by the assigned deadlines.
• Reconciliation and understanding of all balance sheet accounts & produce monthly financial statements and supplementary reporting as required
• Utilize budgets and other tools to analyze variances and reconcile payments applied against major contract values
• Efficient & effective communication, in a professional manner, with all HP employees

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting)
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• At least 5 years in general accounting experience
• Experience in real estate property accounting is preferred
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Experience with Yardi & other real estate accounting software is a plus but not required
