SNI Companies is looking for an Ultrasonographer to support our client in Jacksonville, FL.
Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonographic examinations using specialized equipment to visualize internal structures and organs. This position ensures high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient care and safety. The Ultrasonographer collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonographic examinations using specialized equipment to visualize internal structures and organs. This position ensures high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient care and safety. The Ultrasonographer collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts studies.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, or bodily masses.
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to interpreting physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout the exam.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment and exam rooms.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and training to remain current with sonography best practices and technology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry-eligible with certification obtained within 12 months of hire. Additional certifications (e.g., RVT, RDCS) preferred based on specialty.
- Experience: Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
