School Secretary
School Secretary
SNI Companies is working with a school in Hamilton NJ looking for a School Secretary to be the welcoming face of our school, providing essential front-line and clerical support for daily operations. This is a temp-to-hire position. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for students, families, and staff, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone.
Responsibilities

Provide direct administrative support to the principal, including scheduling, communication, and meeting coordination.

Manage student attendance records accurately and confidentially.

Answer and route phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries efficiently and professionally.

Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and school-wide communications.

Assist with the onboarding of new staff members.

Support staff with substitute scheduling, ordering supplies, and internal communications.

Coordinate school-wide events, such as assemblies.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school or office administrative role preferred.

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and handle sensitive information.

Warm, friendly, patient, and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, child-centered environment.

Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
