SNI Companies, a division of GEE Group Inc, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our client, a dynamic and entrepreneurial real estate company. The Senior Counsel will serve as the company's representative on legal matters related to its development, construction, and commercial real estate operations. The role will focus on transactional work, including the preparation, review, and negotiation of development and construction contracts, as well as closing documents for acquisitions and sales. No litigation duties will be involved.
Responsibilities:
The compensation for this position starts at $215,000 a year (plus bonus). Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities, including work experience

Responsibilities:
- Draft and review commercial construction and development documents, including agreements, contracts, easements, and licenses.
- Handle all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, including contract preparation, due diligence, and closings.
- Provide legal advice on real estate finance, including loan document review, negotiation, and closings.
- Advise and support the company on legal matters, including litigation, mediations, arbitrations, and day-to-day legal issues.
- Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. degree.
- 8+ years’ experience in construction, development, real estate acquisitions and financing
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a strong legal approach.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
- High integrity, adaptability, and quick learning ability.
