Legal Assistant (Post Judgement)

Staffing Now, a division of SNI Companies, has an immediate Legal Assistant opening working for our client in Houston, TX. The position is working for a legal services company that has multiple locations nationwide. The main objective of this role is to investigate and address taxpayer inquiries, identify and analyze issues, and prepare relevant documents.

Requirements:

• Prepare, proofread, and forward various judgment payoffs (e.g., standard, deficiency, strike-off, private resale, bankruptcy).
• Draft and process different releases of judgment (e.g., standard, partial, sold, clouding title on homesteads).
• Handle phone calls, emails, and Post Judgment mail related to payoffs and releases.
• Research and prepare releases of judgment from the JP list twice a year.
• Assist with payment plans, walk-in customers, file reviews, and other tasks assigned by management or attorneys.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position starts at $17.00 per hour.  Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience.
