Legal Assistant (Post Judgement)

Staffing Now Houston, TX (Onsite) Contract to Hire
Staffing Nowa division of SNI Companies, has an immediate Legal Assistant opening working for our client in Houston, TX. The position is working for a legal services company that has multiple locations nationwide. The main objective of this role is to investigate and address taxpayer inquiries, identify and analyze issues, and prepare relevant documents.

Requirements:
  • Prepare, proofread, and forward various judgment payoffs (e.g., standard, deficiency, strike-off, private resale, bankruptcy).
  • Draft and process different releases of judgment (e.g., standard, partial, sold, clouding title on homesteads).
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and Post Judgment mail related to payoffs and releases.
  • Research and prepare releases of judgment from the JP list twice a year.
  • Assist with payment plans, walk-in customers, file reviews, and other tasks assigned by management or attorneys.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position starts at $17.00 per hour.  Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience.
