SNI Companies are looking to hire an experienced Legal Assistant to join our existing team. If you're a passionate self-starter our firm is an excellent place to get ahead. This is an onsite role in Boca Raton that is M-F, full time hours.

Responsibilities
  • File intake and review
  • Review Loan commitments, Credit Memo’s and due diligence materials
  • Reviewing contracts, surveys, title insurance commitments (and exceptions), amendments, leases, subleases, muni-lien searches, etc.
  • Prepare Closing Checklist
  • Collect information for closings, such as payoffs, tax bills, estoppel letters (from associations, municipalities).
  • Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
  • Coordinate with landlords, property managers, brokers, and other real estate third parties.
  • Order title insurance searches, commitments, documents, policies (know Double-time, Propel).
  • Work with lawyers to complete pending purchase agreements and create pre-closing Checklists and Issue Lists for all transactions.
  • When representing lender: Prepare drafts of loan documents, address issues and revise and finalize same.
  • When representing buyer or seller: Prepare documentation for real estate purchases or sale closings including deeds, affidavits, bills of sale, closing statements, and other documents.
  • Other duties include distributing real estate documents, conducting research, analyzing title documents.
  • Record all real estate documentation, record and file UCC’s, return documents to each party, as applicable.
  • Communicate with all parties (except as prohibited by Florida Bar) by phone, email and correspondence
  • Attend closings
  • Cut Checks / Impute Wires
Qualifications
  • 3+ year of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized (Will be scheduling as well)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
