Job Description

The Accounting Clerk will assist the Accounting Department perform various duties to include but not limited to the following:
  • Facilitate in AR by emailing customer statements, following up on payment status, recording into spreadsheet daily checks received by mail, emailing customer invoices.
  • Assist in AP by reviewing vendor monthly account statements, emailing daily invoice adjustments to vendors, providing vendors state tax exemption forms and resale certificates, completing credit card authorization forms for purchases, reviewing posted invoices for posting errors, file vendor invoices and other documentation.
  • Complete new customer registrations, vendor credit applications, customer reference checks, ordering and emailing COI to customers, and ordering office supplies.
  • Assist with other projects as needed by senior management.
Experience/Skills
  • 1+ yrs. of experience in accounting particularly in Payables/Receivables
  • High school diploma, an associate degree in accounting a plus.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Team)
