The CNC Machinist performs complex machine setups on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run and inspect parts with little to no supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
- Able to read operation sheets and blueprints
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
- Other duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
- 1+ years of CNC machine operation
- Okuma control knowledge a plus
- G & M code fluency
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
